For the month of January through February 5, Kristen Morris has been on a tear in Latvia. Starring for Cesis, the 6'3" forward is averaging 16.9 points per game and had a double-double of 30 points and 11 rebounds versus Ruta of the Lithuanian League and dropped 26 against DU/Swedbank. Congratulations Kristen and keep up the good work!

Zellous to the WNBA All-Rookie Team!

Wow, what a year for Shavonte Zellous! She's just been named to the adidas 2009, WNBA All-Rookie Team and she wasn't even a starter. To add to this prestigious award, Zellous finished third in the WNBA, Sixth Woman of the Year race. Just two votes shy of a unanimous rookie choice, Shavonte really turned it on toward the end of the season to push the defending champion, Detroit Shock into the playoffs. Congratulations to Shavonte Zellous for being named one of the 13 WNBA Rookies to be included in the 2009 class. WNBA Trading Cards.com, a division of Rittenhouse Archives, has selected Shavonte along with 12 other rookies for this years trading cards.
